About Ramos General Building
An Oakland general contractor led by owner Mariano Ramos, building and remodeling for homeowners and businesses across the Bay Area.
Ramos General Building is a general contractor based in Oakland, California, led by owner Mariano Ramos. We build and remodel for two kinds of clients: homeowners who want more space or a better home, and business owners who need a space ready to open. We also partner with general contractors who need a dependable crew on their projects.
Our team brings 10 years of construction work in California. That time on job sites is where our standard comes from: when clients tell us why they chose us, the answer is the quality of the work.
What drives the way we build
- Quality you can see and quality you cannot. Straight walls and clean trim matter, and so do the waterproofing, the connections and the framing hidden behind them.
- A clear scope before work starts. You get the work, the materials and what is not included in writing, so you can compare and decide with confidence.
- Respect for your property. We protect the areas we are not working in and leave the site organized at the end of the day.
- Straight answers. If something is not a good idea for your house or your budget, we say so.
Residential and commercial construction under one roof
Our logo carries two shapes for a reason: the rooftops of homes and the towers of commercial buildings. On the residential side we build new homes, additions, ADUs and kitchen and bathroom remodels. On the commercial side we handle tenant improvements and build-outs for private owners and tenants. We do not take public works or city contracts.
Based in Oakland, working across the Bay Area
Our office is in Oakland, and we take projects up to about 80 miles away: San Francisco and the Peninsula, the South Bay, Contra Costa, the Tri-Valley, the North Bay and the edge of the Central Valley. See the full map on our service areas page.
Our warranty
New construction is covered by our 3-year warranty, and remodeling work by our 2-year warranty. It is part of how we stand behind the quality of the work. Read more about why clients choose us or how a project runs in our process.
